Button Descriptions

One-sentence documentation for each button shown in the UI screenshot.

Top Toolbar

Open file: Opens a file browser so the user can select and load a media file into the software.
Previous file: Loads the previous file from the current folder or playlist.
Next file: Loads the next file from the current folder or playlist.
Settings: Opens the configuration panel where the user can adjust application preferences and options.
About: Displays information about the software such as version, developer details, and license.
Language: Allows the user to change the interface language of the application.
Play / Pause: Starts playback of the media or pauses it if it is already playing.
Mute: Toggles the audio on or off during playback.
Next frame: Advances the video forward by a single frame for precise navigation.
Show tasks: Opens the task list showing current or completed processing tasks.
Check for updates: Checks online for a newer version of the software and notifies the user if an update is available.

Left Sidebar

Set start: Marks the current playback position as the beginning of a selected segment.
Set end: Marks the current playback position as the end of a selected segment.
Play range: Plays only the section of the media between the selected start and end points.
Clear selection: Removes the current start and end markers and clears the selected segment.
Go to start: Moves the playback position directly to the beginning of the media file.
Go to end: Moves the playback position directly to the end of the media file.
Perform cut: Cuts or exports the selected segment between the start and end markers.
Zoom out: Decreases the zoom level of the timeline or preview for a wider view.
Zoom auto: Automatically adjusts the zoom level so the full timeline or relevant section fits in the view.

Tip: If you want these to be used as tooltips inside your app, you can reuse the text as strings keyed by button IDs (e.g., open_file, play_pause, perform_cut).
